BNC Male to Dual Banana Jacks Adapter

The Pomona Electronics 72937 adapter converts a BNC male connector into two 4 mm banana jacks for test and measurement setups. It suits technicians and engineers who need a quick way to connect oscilloscope probes or multimeter leads to banana-plug cables.

CAT I 500 V Measurement Limit

The adapter carries a CAT I 500 V rating, so it is restricted to low-energy circuits that are not directly connected to the mains supply. It must not be used on installation wiring, distribution panels or any CAT II, III or IV environments where transient over-voltages exceed the rated withstand.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 72937 adapter or another BNC-to-banana version for my 500 V CAT I test setup?

The 72937 model is rated for CAT I 500 V and provides a BNC male plug to dual 4 mm banana jacks, matching that voltage category directly.

What does the 500 V CAT I rating mean when I connect this adapter to my oscilloscope or multimeter?

It certifies the adapter for measurement circuits up to 500 V in CAT I environments such as protected electronic equipment, so it is suited for bench-top signal work but not for mains-voltage CAT II or III locations.
