Porta Brace

Porta Brace Compact HD Camera Case for Canon Vixia HF #CS-VIXIA

SKU CH-GCYW-E6EES

Compact HD case protects a Canon Vixia HF camcorder with thick foam padding, a camera cradle, non-skid bottom and included shoulder strap

  • Easy-open access with single zip and zipper guard
  • Camera cradle secures camcorder during transport
  • Thick 1-inch foam padding absorbs impacts
  • 1000-denier Cordura nylon resists water and wear
  • Non-skid bottom panel protects against water and dirt

Purpose-built fit

The Porta Brace CS-VIXIA is a compact hard-shell case shaped specifically for the Canon Vixia HF camcorder. An internal camera cradle holds the body steady during transport while thick foam padding absorbs knocks. A comfortable HB-15 shoulder strap is included for hands-free carry.

Sustained protection

The case body uses 1-inch thick foam wrapped in 1000-denier Cordura nylon with a polyurethane water-resistant coating. A reinforced bottom panel adds 8mm hollow-core plastic beneath a non-skid wipe-clean surface, guarding against water, dirt and grime during extended outdoor use. The soft frame keeps the profile slim while maintaining structure under load.

Compatibility check

Verify that your Vixia HF matches the dedicated cradle dimensions before ordering. The single zip opening with guard allows quick access but offers only one main compartment for the camera, a spare battery, tape and a Quick-Slick rain cover. Buyers needing space for additional lenses, rigs or larger accessories should consider a larger bag.

Questions about this item

Does the thick foam padding trap heat when the camcorder runs all day?

The 1-inch foam and Cordura nylon body insulates the camera but has no active cooling; the case is designed for transport, not continuous operation inside the bag.

What strap or mount must I already have to carry this case?

An HB-15 shoulder strap is included, so no separate strap is required for shoulder carry.

Will my older Canon Vixia HF still sit securely in the cradle?

The internal camera cradle is shaped for the Canon Vixia HF series and stabilises the camcorder during transport.
