Portal Charles FC-368-CGY Grey Folding Rocking

This oversized folding rocking chair supports up to 400 pounds with a sturdy alloy steel frame and thick padded polyester seat. The curved base delivers a smooth rocking motion on patios, porches or around the campfire. Hard armrests give extra leverage when sitting down or standing up. It collapses flat in seconds and fits into the included carry bag for transport.

Check your setup before ordering

Verify you have space for the open footprint of 40 inches deep by 39 inches wide and a seat height of 19.5 inches. The chair weighs 16.5 to 17.6 pounds, so confirm you can lift and carry that load. Ensure the ground is a hard, level surface as recommended for stable rocking. The folded size of 10 by 9 by 40 inches must fit your vehicle or storage area.

Upgrade from a standard camp chair

This model replaces basic folding chairs that lack rocking motion, padded backs or a 400-pound capacity. The jump is worth it when you want a wider seat, integrated armrests for easier exits and a built-in cup holder for longer sits. It is not for buyers who need a lighter chair under ten pounds, a reclining backrest or a more compact folded profile.

Questions about this item

Does the chair come with a carry bag or do I need to buy one separately?

A carry bag is included so the 16.5-pound chair folds flat and fits inside for transport or storage.

The specs list both 16.5 and 17.6 pounds — which weight should I plan for?

The manufacturer highlights give 16.5 pounds; the detailed spec sheet lists 17.6 pounds. Expect the chair to weigh between those two figures.

With a 400-pound capacity and 19.5-inch seat height, will it feel stable for a taller, heavier person?

The curved rocking base and alloy-steel frame are designed to prevent tipping, while hard armrests give extra leverage when sitting or standing.
