Portable Tool Storage Organiser

The Porter-Cable 15QT tool storage unit is a compact organiser designed for home, workshop or mobile use. Its 11.6 inch length and built-in handle make it easy to carry between job sites. The green plastic construction keeps contents visible while protecting them from dust and minor impacts.

Upgrade from Loose Bins

This box replaces open totes or cardboard boxes that let small parts scatter during transport. The secure clasp lid prevents spills when the case is tipped or stacked. The jump is worth it when you need a single, portable container that keeps fasteners, bits or medical supplies sorted and ready to grab.

Capacity and Limits

The 15 quart volume and seven internal pockets handle a practical assortment of hand tools, first-aid items or craft materials. At 7.5 inches tall it accommodates standard bottles and mid-size power-tool accessories. Bulky items such as large cordless drills or long levels will not fit, so consider a larger chest for those.

Questions about this item

What are the 11.6 in length, 9 in width, and 7.5 in height dimensions for shelf or bench clearance?

The box measures 11.6 in long, 9 in wide, and 7.5 in high, so allow at least that footprint plus handle swing room on a shelf or workbench.

How do I install the detachable tray with its 7 partitions, and what step do people miss?

Drop the tray into the top rails until it clicks; the step often missed is pressing both front corners down firmly so the clasp engages fully.

When will the clasp or handle need replacement on this 15 QT organizer?

The polypropylene clasp and moulded handle typically last years; replace them only if the latch no longer catches or the handle shows stress cracks.
