18-Grid Clear Organizer Box

The Porter-Cable 18-Grid Clear Plastic Organizer Box provides adjustable compartments for sorting small parts. It targets hobbyists, crafters and technicians who need visible, portable storage for beads, jewellery, fishing tackle or hardware. The clear polypropylene construction lets users identify contents without opening the lid.

Adjustable Dividers Replace Fixed Trays

Removable dividers replace fixed-compartment trays by letting owners resize each grid from 2.3 by 1.7 inches up to the full 10.8 by 7.6 inch interior. The jump is worth it when part sizes change between projects or when a single box must serve multiple categories. Fixed-grid boxes cannot adapt without buying additional units.

Snap-In Dividers and Hinged Lid

Dividers snap into molded channels and the hinged lid closes with a secure latch, so installation means placing dividers where needed and applying the 60 included label stickers. What usually goes wrong is forcing a divider against the channel ribs, which can crack the polypropylene, or overloading a grid so the lid bows and unlatches during transport.

Questions about this item

What are the overall dimensions of the 18-grid organizer box?

The box measures 10.8 inches long, 7.6 inches wide, and 1.7 inches high. Each individual grid is 2.3 by 1.7 by 1.7 inches.

How do the adjustable dividers work and what is the common mistake?

Dividers slide out to merge compartments; the mistake is forcing them past the moulded stops, which snaps the tabs. Lift each divider straight up before repositioning.

How should I clean the PP plastic box and the 60 label stickers?

Wash the box with mild soap and lukewarm water; avoid solvents that cloud PP. Labels are paper-based — write on them before sticking, and replace any that peel rather than scrubbing.
