Converts Wii output to 1080p HDMI with a 3.5mm audio jack and includes a 5ft cable for direct TV connection
The PORTHOLIC Wii001 converts the Nintendo Wii's analogue output to a digital HDMI signal supporting up to 1080p resolution. It includes a 5ft high-speed HDMI cable and a 3.5mm audio jack for headphones or external speakers. The adapter is designed for Wii owners who want a simple connection to modern televisions, monitors or projectors without installing drivers.
The unit draws power directly from the Wii console and runs cool during normal use with no audible fan noise. Its compact 6 x 3 x 1.9cm enclosure adds negligible weight at .115 kilograms and tucks behind the console to reduce cable clutter. Because it requires no external power supply, there is no additional power draw on your mains outlet.
This converter replaces the Wii's standard AV cables with a single HDMI link, making the jump worthwhile when your display lacks legacy inputs or when you prefer one-cable simplicity. It does not support the Wii Mini and cannot be used with switches or splitters. Some games locked to 240p or 480i may require the console's 480p setting to display correctly.

Plug the adapter directly into the Wii's AV port, then connect the HDMI cable from the adapter to the TV; the step often missed is that it must not be used with a switch or splitter.
No maintenance is required; the connectors are passive and only need replacement if physically damaged.
The converter does not support 240p or 480i signals over HDMI; the Wii must be set to 480p mode for compatible games.
