Purpose-built monitor for Sony

The 7 inch display delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution at up to 1000 cd/m² brightness with HDR preview. Integrated wireless control supports select Sony and Blackmagic Design cameras for iris, shutter, zoom and frame rate adjustments. An HDMI input accepts up to DCI 4K24 or UHD 4K30 signals while an HDMI output passes video with anamorphic correction. A headphone jack and L-series battery plate complete the on-camera feature set.

Passive cooling keeps operation silent during takes

No fans or active cooling are mentioned, so the unit runs quietly on set. The 1000 cd/m² panel draws modest power from the L-series battery plate or external DC source. Typical monitoring sessions remain cool to the touch without audible noise. Power consumption scales with brightness setting and wireless module activity.

Aluminium chassis with integrated mounting points

The black enclosure uses a rigid aluminium frame that resists flex when mounted on a camera rig. A single 1/4-20 thread on the base and additional points on the side allow versatile arm or cold-shoe attachment. HDMI input and output sit on the same edge for clean cable routing. The L-series plate locks batteries securely without a separate cage.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the LH7P on my camera rig and which step is often missed?

Attach the monitor using its L-series battery plate and HDMI cable, then enable the wireless module in the camera menu — many users forget to pair the camera before shooting.

What part will need replacement first on the LH7P?

The L-series battery plate contacts can wear from repeated battery swaps, so keep a spare plate or battery for uninterrupted power.

Which limit appears first during long takes on the LH7P?

The 1000 cd/m² backlight generates heat that can trigger thermal protection after extended 4K24 or 4K30 recording sessions.
