Purpose-built capture

The Portta HCC101-BK captures 1080p60 video over USB 3.0 while passing a 4K60 loop-out signal to a display. It targets streamers, educators and meeting hosts who need plug-and-play recording without driver installation on Windows, macOS or Linux.

Included connectivity kit

A USB-C to USB 3.0 adapter and a USB-A 3.0 cable let the box connect to modern and legacy ports alike. The bundled HDMI cable and 3.5 mm audio jacks add headphone monitoring and microphone input, though the loop-out and headphone ports do not carry mic audio.

Compact aluminium chassis

At 10.2 by 6.9 by 1.25 centimetres and 68 grams the unit sits unobtrusively on a desk or in a bag. Two HDMI ports and a single USB 3.0 link mean one cable to the host and a clean pass-through to the screen, simplifying daily setup and teardown.

Questions about this item

Does the 3.5 mm headphone jack or the HDMI loop-out pass through microphone audio?

The 3.5 mm output supports headphones or speakers, but neither the jack nor the HDMI loop-out can carry microphone audio.

What capture resolution and frame rate does the USB 3.0 link actually deliver during long sessions?

The device captures at 1080p 60 fps over USB 3.0; sustained use is limited to that resolution and frame rate.

How warm does the aluminium case get and is there any fan noise when recording all day?

The unit has no fan and runs silently; the aluminium enclosure dissipates heat passively during extended capture.
