10 AWG SJTOW Extension Cord

This 10 AWG SJTOW extension cord provides 50 ft of reach for outdoor power needs. It carries a 15 A, 125V AC rating with a NEMA 5-15P plug and a single NEMA 5-15R receptacle. The yellow PVC jacket resists temperatures from -58 to 194 degrees F.

Suited for single high-draw tools.

Builders running one 1,875 W device such as a compressor or heater will find the cord adequate. The single outlet and lack of a power strip make it unsuitable for jobs requiring multiple simultaneous connections.

15 A capacity handles most 125 V tools

The cord delivers up to 1,875 W, enough for typical 15 A construction equipment. Loads above 15 A or 125 V exceed the rating and require a heavier gauge or higher voltage solution.

Questions about this item

What wall outlet and device plug does the NEMA 5-15P and 5-15R configuration require?

Will the 10 AWG wire and 15 A rating safely power older tools that draw up to 1,875 W?

Yes, the 10 AWG conductors are rated for 15 A and 1,875 W maximum, matching the cord's NEMA 5-15P and 5-15R specifications.

How do I confirm the cord is live once I plug it into the mains?

The built-in power indicator on the receptacle illuminates when voltage is present at the outlet.
