Application & Suitability
This twist-on wire connector is designed for joining copper conductors in light fixtures and general house wiring. It accepts a minimum combination of three 18 AWG wires and a maximum combination of two 10 AWG wires with two 12 AWG wires. The red thermoplastic shell fits up to nine conductors for residential and light commercial electrical boxes.
Wire Capacity & Voltage Rating
The connector handles a maximum wire combination of two 10 AWG with two 12 AWG copper conductors at up to 600 volts. It is UL listed under file E113650 and CSA certified to standard 175604UL for code-compliant installations. A compatible installation tool model number 4 is recommended for secure termination.
Thermal & Safety Performance
The thermoplastic housing carries a UL 94 V-2 flammability rating and withstands a maximum operating temperature of 221 degrees Fahrenheit. Steel contact inserts provide reliable conductivity within the rated thermal limits. The connector contains no user-serviceable parts and requires no external power source.

Questions about this item
What does the 10 AWG maximum mean when I am connecting wires in a junction box?
It means the largest conductors you can twist into this connector are two 10 AWG copper wires together with two 12 AWG wires; anything thicker will not fit the internal spring.
How does the 600 V rating limit the circuits I can use these on?
The 600 V maximum voltage rating covers standard residential and light-commercial lighting and receptacle circuits; do not use it on higher-voltage distribution wiring.
What size electrical box opening do I need so the red connector fits without crowding?
The connector is designed for standard light-fixture and house-wiring boxes; allow enough free volume for up to nine conductors and the connector body so the box fill stays within code limits.
