PowerMax
Converts 12V DC to 115V AC modified sine wave with 800W continuous and 1600W peak output, two 110V outlets and a 2.1A USB port
The PowerMax PMX-800MS converts 12V DC battery power into 115V AC output rated at 800W continuous with a 1600W peak for 0.3 seconds. It provides two 110Vac outlets and a 5V USB port delivering 2.1A for phones or tablets. The modified sine waveform suits most household electronics, small appliances and office equipment in cars, vans or motorhomes. ETL listing confirms compliance with 115V AC safety operating standards.
This inverter replaces a portable generator or campsite hook-up when running low-draw devices such as laptops, TVs, stereos or phone chargers from a vehicle battery. The jump is worth it when you need silent, fume-free AC power for intermittent use and can accept modified sine wave output. It is not suited for buyers who need pure sine wave for sensitive medical equipment, inductive motor starts or audio gear that exhibits audible noise on modified waveforms. High-surge tools exceeding 800W continuous or 1600W peak will trip the overload protection.
The unit connects directly to a 12V DC source and draws 1.5A with no load applied. Low-voltage alarm and automatic cut-off activate at 10.5V ±0.5V to protect the battery, with auto-reset once voltage recovers. A built-in cooling fan manages thermals during sustained output. AC output delivers 115V ±10% RMS at 60Hz ±1Hz. The two AC outlets and single USB port free up the vehicle's factory 12V sockets for other accessories while supplying mains-voltage power for compatible devices.

Use cables rated for at least 80 A and a matching fuse; keep the run as short as possible to minimise voltage drop.
Connect the positive terminal first, then the negative; reversing the order can spark and trip the low-voltage alarm at 10.5 V.
Check the fan and vents every few months and blow out dust with compressed air; a blocked fan triggers the high-temperature shutdown.
