Processor and platform

This desktop pairs an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8GHz 8-core processor with an ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WIFI) motherboard and 16GB DDR4-3200 memory. The unlocked CPU and X570 chipset provide a foundation for gaming and multitasking workloads.

Thermals under load

A Thermaltake Floe Riing 360 RGB liquid cooler is mounted on the processor inside the ASUS TUF Gaming GT501 case. This arrangement is designed to maintain stable temperatures during extended sessions rather than only short bursts.

Storage interface limits

The 256GB NVMe M.2 SSD serves as the boot drive while a 1TB SATA hard drive provides bulk capacity. Each drive operates at the speed ceiling of its own interface, so large sequential transfers will hit the SATA bottleneck before the NVMe device reaches its maximum.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Thermaltake Floe Riing 360 RGB liquid cooler keep the Ryzen 7 5800X under all-day load?

The 360 mm radiator and RGB fans on the Thermaltake Floe Riing cooler are designed to dissipate the 5800X heat output continuously, while the 700 W power supply provides headroom for sustained operation.

Does the ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PLUS motherboard need any extra parts before the Radeon RX 5700 XT will run?

The graphics card is already installed in the board's PCIe slot and powered from the 700 W supply, so no additional components are required for it to function.

Can I keep using my older SATA hard drives alongside the 256 GB NVMe boot drive in this system?

Yes, the motherboard provides SATA ports that accept existing SATA drives, and the 1 TB hard drive already installed shows the interface is active and supported.
