PRC TUF Gaming Special Edition

This gaming desktop pairs an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core processor at 3.8GHz with 16GB DDR4-3200 memory and an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card with 8GB GDDR6. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed on a 512GB NVMe M.2 SSD and includes a 1TB SATA hard drive for additional storage.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

The 12-core CPU and dedicated GPU suit players who want high frame rates at 1440p and creators who run multi-threaded workloads such as video encoding or 3D rendering. Buyers who need more than 16GB of RAM for heavy virtualization or large dataset work should look at systems with higher memory capacity.

Capacity and headroom

The 512GB NVMe drive holds the OS and a handful of modern titles with fast load times, while the 1TB hard drive provides room for a larger game library and media files. The 700W power supply supports the included components, but builders planning to add a second graphics card or many extra drives will need a higher-wattage unit.

Questions about this item

What monitor connections does the Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB GDDR6 provide for my existing display?

The graphics card offers DisplayPort and HDMI outputs, so any monitor with those inputs will work without an adapter.

Can I keep my current DDR4-3200 memory kit and add it to the 16GB already installed?

The motherboard has four DIMM slots; the system ships with 16GB in two modules, leaving two slots free for matching DDR4-3200 sticks.

How do I verify the Thermaltake Floe Riing 360 RGB liquid cooler is running after first boot?

Enter the BIOS and confirm the pump and fan RPM readings are present, then watch the RGB lighting cycle to show the cooler has power.
