System Summary

This PRC WHITEGOLD Special Edition desktop is a complete gaming PC built around an Intel Core i7-2600 quad-core processor running at 3.4 GHz with a 3.8 GHz maximum turbo. It ships with 16 GB of DDR3 memory, a 1 TB solid-state drive and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 graphics card with 4 GB of GDDR5 video memory. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed and the system includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi plus Bluetooth.

Fit and Limits

The machine suits players who want a ready-to-run tower for 1080p gaming on a single monitor and who value the convenience of a pre-loaded operating system and included keyboard and mouse. Buyers who want more storage than the single 1 TB drive provides or who need a newer graphics architecture for modern titles should look at a different configuration.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The 500 W 80+ effective power supply feeds the CPU and GTX 980 through extended sessions while the Intel CPU cooler manages processor thermals. The 16 GB DDR3 capacity and quad-core, eight-thread processor keep background tasks responsive during long gameplay periods and the SSD maintains consistent load times without thermal throttling.
