PRECISION 17765 Brass Shim Stock 0.0070 In 6 In x 180 In

Precision Brass Shim Stock

PRECISION BRAND 17765 brass shim stock is a 6 inch wide by 180 inch long roll with a 0.0070 inch thickness. It meets ASTM B36, ASTM B19, CDA-260 and SAE CA-260 standards for Grade 260 half-hard brass. The material suits alignment, machine repair, mounting, new assembly and tool and die set-up tasks.

Fit for precision shimming and alignment

Machinists and maintenance technicians needing thin, consistent brass shim material for spacing or leveling will find this roll useful. The half-hard temper and plain finish support accurate fits in inch-based applications. Buyers requiring stainless steel, plastic or alternative metal shim stock should look at something else. Those needing pre-cut shims or different thickness tolerances must select another product.

Capacity and headroom for shim work

The 180 inch length provides ample stock for multiple set-ups and recurring maintenance jobs. Thickness tolerance of +/- 0.001 inch and width tolerance of +/- 0.008 inch deliver reliable precision for critical alignments. Length tolerance of +3.000 / -0.125 inch allows for cutting to exact sizes. Very high-volume automated stamping or extremely tight tolerance requirements beyond the stated specs may exceed practical headroom.
