PrehKeyTec Tile Key for POS Systems

The PrehKeyTec 12308-106/1800 is a black key tile designed for point-of-sale hardware. It serves operators who need replacement caps for programmable keyboards used in retail or hospitality environments. The unit matches the form factor required by compatible PrehKeyTec devices. It is sold as a component for maintenance or layout changes.

Bag of One Hundred Identical Tiles

Each bag contains 100 pieces of the 1 x 1 deadkey variant in black. This quantity supports bulk servicing across multiple workstations or large single keyboards. Having spares on hand reduces downtime when individual caps become worn or damaged. The uniform colour maintains a consistent appearance across the keyboard matrix.

Limits of a Single-Size Key Cap

The tile fits only the specific 1 x 1 socket pattern defined by the manufacturer. It cannot adapt to larger multi-unit key positions or different brand mounting styles. Users must verify their keyboard model accepts this exact part number before fitting. No legends or labelling are included on the blank black surface.

Questions about this item

How often will the individual tile keys need replacement in a high-volume POS environment?

Each bag contains 100 black 1x1 deadkeys, so replacements are drawn from that stock as individual tiles wear out.

What physical limit appears first when the keyboard runs continuously at a busy checkout?

The 1x1 tile size means the actuation surface is the first constraint under constant finger pressure.

Does the key material generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day operation?

The black tile keys are passive mechanical parts with no electronics, so they produce no heat and only the normal click of a key press.
