6-Quart Aluminum Pressure Cooker
The Presto 01264 is a traditional 6-quart pressure cooker built from heavy-gauge aluminum. It is designed for home cooks who want to prepare meals significantly faster than conventional methods allow. The cooker tenderizes economical cuts of meat while preserving flavors and nutrients. It suits anyone seeking a durable, straightforward appliance for everyday pressure cooking.
Pressure regulator and cover lock indicator
The pressure regulator maintains proper cooking pressure automatically without manual adjustment. A cover lock indicator shows when pressure remains inside and prevents the cover from opening until pressure has safely reduced. The helper handle and included rack make handling and multi-item cooking simple. Users must follow the supplied instructions carefully to ensure the vent pipe stays clear and the sealing ring seats correctly.
Works on regular and smooth-top ranges
This aluminum cooker functions on both regular coil and smooth-top electric ranges. Aluminum construction provides quick, even heating but is not compatible with induction cooktops unless a separate interface disc is used. The 6-quart capacity limits batch size for large gatherings or meal-prep quantities. The 12-year limited warranty covers manufacturing defects only.
