Compatible Wahl Trimmer Models

This guide comb fits Wahl shaver models 9885L, 9886, 9888, 9888L, 9893, 9893L, 9894, 9898L, 9937, 9984, 9994 and SS2L. It is designed as a replacement attachment for maintaining consistent beard lengths. Buyers with unlisted models should verify compatibility before purchase.

Cutting Length Range

The comb provides ten fixed length settings from 2 mm to 11 mm in 1 mm increments. This single specification determines whether the trim range matches the grooming style required. It does not suit users needing lengths shorter than 2 mm or longer than 11 mm.

Snap-On Installation

The attachment snaps onto the compatible shaver head without tools. Misalignment during fitting can prevent a secure lock, so the comb should be pressed evenly until it clicks. It is not compatible with models 5621, 5622, 5623, 8040, 8064, 8900, 8900-500, 9300, 9307, 9326, 9878, 9900, 9906, 9906C, 9910, 9916, 9916C, 9918, 9918C, 9918-6171, 9918D, 9920, 9925, 9940-502, 9961, 9962, 9966, 9971, 9985 or 9990.

Questions about this item

How does the 10-position comb translate to actual beard length on my face?

The comb clicks into ten fixed settings from 2 mm to 11 mm, so each notch sets the trimmer to cut at that exact length.

What mounting system does this guide comb use to attach to the shaver head?

It snaps onto the cutting head of the listed Wahl models; the supplier confirms fit for 9885L, 9886, 9888, 9888L, 9893, 9893L, 9894, 9898L, 9937, 9984, 9994 and SS2L.

Will this comb physically fit on a Wahl 9918 or 9900 series shaver?

No — the product data explicitly lists the 9918, 9900, 9906, 9916, 9920 and several other models as not compatible.
