Guide Comb Set for Remington Trimmers

This five-piece guide comb set fits Remington trimmers including the HC5550, HC5750, HC5780, HC5200, HC5400, HC5600, HC5800, HC5038, HC5080 and HC5081 models. It provides cutting lengths of 3mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm and 18mm for versatile grooming. The combs support wet and dry use so they can be used in the shower and cleaned easily under running water.

Installation and Common Issues

Each comb snaps onto the compatible trimmer head without tools for quick length changes. The secure fit prevents the comb from shifting during use. The main issue occurs when the comb is forced onto an incompatible model or when hair buildup prevents a firm click, so verify the model number and clean the mounting area before attaching.

Comb Lengths Determine the Cut

The set includes five fixed lengths from 3mm to 18mm, and the chosen comb decides the final hair length. Buyers who need lengths outside this range or continuously adjustable settings will need a different accessory. Compatibility is limited to the listed Remington models, so owners of other trimmers cannot use these combs.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the guide combs are cutting at the correct length after attaching them to my trimmer?

After snapping a comb onto the blade, run the trimmer through a test patch of hair; the cut length should match the comb size marked 3mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm or 18mm.

Which items are included in the package and what must I supply myself?

The box contains one set of five guide combs sized 3mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm and 18mm; you must provide a compatible Remington trimmer such as the HC5550, HC5750, HC5780, HC5200, HC5400, HC5600, HC5800, HC5038, HC5080 or HC5081.

Which comb size should I choose for a short fade versus a longer beard trim?

Use the 3mm or 6mm comb for a close fade and the 12mm or 18mm comb for a longer beard trim; the 9mm comb gives an intermediate length.
