Holiday dog ornament

A wooden Christmas ornament features a painted Goldendoodle wearing a winter vest against a snowy scene. The artwork is replicated from an original burlap canvas painting by Michele Kixmiller, preserving the fabric texture and depth. Distressed red sides and back provide a rustic finish and space for personalisation with a pet name. An attached twisted wire hanger allows for easy display on a tree or hook.

Replaces generic decorations

This piece upgrades from mass-produced ornaments by offering original artwork with a specific breed likeness and a personalisable surface. The jump is worth it for shoppers who want a keepsake that reflects their own Goldendoodle and captures holiday memories. It serves as a sentimental gift that combines a love for pets with seasonal tradition. The handcrafted character distinguishes it from standard printed alternatives.

Practical limits of wood construction

The ornament measures five by four inches with a thickness of .25 inches, making it a lightweight accent suited for standard branches. Wood and paper materials are vulnerable to moisture and crushing, so storage in a dry, rigid container is necessary between seasons. The wire hanger supports the piece but cannot bear heavy tension or rough handling. It is intended for indoor decorative use only.

Questions about this item

How thick is the wooden ornament so I know if it will fit between tight branches?

The ornament measures .25 inch thick, making it slim enough to slip between closely spaced branches on most Christmas trees.

Does the twisted wire hanger come already attached or do I need to fasten it myself?

The twisted wire hanger is pre-attached to the back of the ornament, so you simply hook it over a branch without any tools or assembly.

Can I write my dog's name on the red-painted back without the ink bleeding into the wood grain?

The back and sides are coated with a coordinating red finish that accepts permanent marker or paint pen cleanly for personalisation.
