Ultra-capacity thermal-transfer ribbon

The Printronix 179499-001 is a new ultra-capacity ribbon designed for high-volume dot-matrix printing. It uses thermal-transfer technology to produce black output on compatible Printronix machines. The ribbon supports demanding workloads such as reports and label printing. It is sold as a single black ribbon cartridge.

Compatibility and workload fit

This ribbon fits the P7005, P7010, P7015, P7205, P7210, P7215 and P7220 printers. It suits operations that need long-lasting black ribbons for continuous forms or labels. Buyers using other printer models or requiring colour output should look elsewhere. Non-thermal-transfer devices cannot use this ribbon.

Million-character yield

The ribbon is rated for a typical yield of million characters. This figure determines whether the supply matches your expected print volume. Check your average monthly character count against this rating before ordering.
