Probox BT16 Powered Bookshelf Speakers

The Probox BT16 is a 2.0 powered bookshelf speaker system delivering 60 watts total output. It integrates a 24-bit USB DAC and Bluetooth 5.3 for wired and wireless audio from computers, monitors or mobile devices. A 3.5-inch woofer and 1-inch silk dome tweeter handle the frequency range. Side-panel bass and treble knobs give direct tonal control.

Check Power and Connection Options

The speakers require the supplied 15-volt power supply and mains outlet. Confirm you have a free USB-A port for the DAC link or a 3.5 mm analogue output if you prefer a direct line-in. Bluetooth 5.3 pairs with phones, tablets or laptops without extra drivers. The master unit measures 5.4 by 4.5 by 7.9 inches, so verify shelf depth and desktop clearance before ordering.

Ideal for Desktop and Small-Room Listening

This system suits users wanting compact stereo sound with built-in digital conversion and wireless streaming. Gamers and music listeners gain adjustable EQ and a dedicated subwoofer output for future bass extension. Buyers needing surround formats, passive speaker flexibility or higher continuous power should consider other configurations. The 2.531-kilogram weight makes frequent relocation less convenient.

Questions about this item

Does the Probox BT16 package include everything needed for wired and wireless use, or are extra cables required?

The box contains the active and passive speakers, a USB cable for the 24-bit DAC, a 3.5 mm audio cable, a speaker wire to link the pair, a 15 V power adapter and a remote control, so no separate purchases are needed for standard connections.

How do the 30 W per channel rating and 3.5-inch woofer translate to real-world listening levels?

With 30 watts RMS per channel driving a 3.5-inch mid-low woofer and 1-inch silk dome tweeter, the system delivers room-filling volume and clear stereo separation suitable for near-field gaming, music and film at typical desktop distances.

What does the 24-bit USB DAC actually change compared to a standard motherboard audio jack?

The built-in 24-bit DAC bypasses the computer's internal sound hardware, sending a clean digital signal over USB to the speakers' own converter, which reduces background noise and preserves detail in high-resolution tracks and game audio.
