Profoto Edge Mask for 2x3' Softbox

The Profoto Edge Mask is a rectangular light-shaping accessory designed for photographers who use Profoto Softboxes measuring two by three feet. It attaches to the recessed front of the softbox using a Velcro fastening. The mask creates a dark central area that produces a contoured rim light around the subject and a distinctive catch light in the eyes.

Replaces flat softbox output with contour lighting

This accessory upgrades a standard softbox by adding a defined edge-light effect that separates the subject from a black background. The improvement is worth it when you want dramatic separation without adding extra lights or flags. Velcro attachment fits recessed softbox front

Installation consists of aligning the mask with the softbox front and pressing the Velcro strips together; no tools are required. The mask only fits Profoto Softboxes with the correct recessed dimensions, so it cannot be mounted on RFi, OCF or Clic models. Misalignment can leave light leaks at the edges, reducing the contour effect.
