The Progressive Hardware 3600/26D supplies a pair of solid brass knobs in a satin chrome 26D finish for surface-mount mortise locksets. Each box contains two knobs, a spindle and the necessary mounting screws. The outside knob pins to the spindle in one of three positions while the inside knob secures with two 5/16" case-hardened set screws.

Mechanical Operation and Feel

The spindle uses a 3/8" centre on the outside half and a 3/8-20 thread on the inside half, giving a firm, direct connection through the door. Approximately one pound of solid brass per pair provides substantial mass and a smooth, positive turning action without electronic components or power draw.

Compatibility and Installation Scope

This set replaces the Corbin #1419 with #32 spindle and fits Marks Brand Type Surface Mount 91A and 71A mortise locksets among others. It will not suit cylindrical latchsets, tubular deadbolts or lock bodies that require a different spindle diameter, thread pitch or knob mounting method.
