Compatibility and Build

This ceiling mount is engineered specifically for 3M DX70 and DX70i projector models. The mounting plate is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum for a precise fit. All necessary hardware and detailed instructions are included for installation onto drywall or wooden beams.

Range of Motion

The mount provides full 360 degree rotation plus pitch and roll adjustment in any direction. Maximum tilt reaches +/- 80 degrees for flexible positioning. The design uses minimal projector coverage to leave adequate space for heat to escape during sustained operation.

Fixed Extension and Constraints

This mount style sets the projector approximately 5 inches away from the ceiling surface. It is not intended for drop or false ceiling installations. The actual mounting plate supplied may differ from product images but will only fit the projector models listed in the title.

You need a drywall ceiling or wooden beam; all mounting hardware and instructions are included in the box.

Will the 3M DX70i still rotate and tilt fully when paired with this fixed 5-inch extension?

Yes — the mount rotates 360 degrees and tilts ±80 degrees regardless of the fixed extension length.
