Compatible Projector Models

This ceiling mount is built specifically for Optoma EP780, EP781 and TX780 projectors. The CNC-machined mounting plate ensures a precise fit for these models only. Using it with any other projector will result in an improper fit and is not supported.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The mount is constructed from 100 percent 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminium for long-term rigidity. It supports the projector continuously at a fixed distance between 13 and 20 inches from the ceiling in one-inch increments. The design leaves adequate space around the unit for heat to escape during extended operation.

Deciding Specification

The lateral shift coupling provides 1-1/2 inches of left and right adjustment to centre the projector lens. This feature is essential when the ceiling mounting point is not aligned with the screen centre. The mount is not intended for drop or false ceiling installations.

Questions about this item

How much heat clearance does the 6061-T6 aluminum plate leave for the Optoma EP780 when the mount is fully extended to 20 inches?

The CNC-machined plate uses minimal projector coverage so heat can escape freely at any extension setting up to 20 inches.

What tools or extra hardware must I already have to install this mount on a solid ceiling?

All necessary mounting hardware is included; you only need standard tools such as a drill, screwdriver and level.

Will the 360-degree rotation and 1-1/2 inch lateral shift still align the EP781 lens if my ceiling joist is off-centre?

Yes, the lateral shift coupling provides 1-1/2 inches of left-right adjustment and full rotation to centre the lens on misaligned joists.
