Unlike universal ceiling mounts, this model includes a Lateral Shift Coupling that provides 1-1/2 inches of left and right adjustment to centre the projector lens. The jump is worth it when the mounting surface is not perfectly aligned with the screen centre, eliminating the image offset issues common with generic brackets. The mount sets the projector approximately 5 inches from the ceiling and is not intended for drop or false ceilings.
