Scale model trailer for collectors

This 1/87 scale plastic model reproduces a 40ft dry van trailer in white. It is aimed at adult hobbyists who build HO scale layouts or display collections. The piece arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging. No motorised or electronic functions are included.

Officially licensed detail with fixed body

The officially licensed tooling provides true-to-scale detail on both interior and exterior surfaces. The trailer body has no openings, so doors and panels remain permanently closed. This limits interior access but preserves the crisp lines of the prototype. Simple assembly is required before display.

Straightforward assembly with alignment care

The kit needs only basic modelling tools and a few minutes to put together. The main challenge is aligning the chassis and body halves so the trailer sits square on the layout. Because there are no moving parts, no further adjustment is needed after the initial build.

Questions about this item

Will the plastic parts become brittle or need repainting after long display?

The model is moulded in white plastic at 1/87 scale; normal indoor display does not require repainting or part replacement.

What stops me from adding working lights or opening doors later?

The trailer has no openings and the body is a single sealed casting, so internal lighting or functional doors cannot be fitted.

Does the assembled trailer generate any heat or noise when left on a layout all day?

It is a static plastic kit with no motor or electronics, so it produces zero heat and no noise during continuous display.
