As a purely mechanical mount converter, the adapter contains no electronic components, motors or circuitry. It adds no heat, noise or battery consumption to the camera system during operation. The unit simply provides a secure physical and electrical connection between the lens and body, relying on the camera's own metering system for exposure calculation without drawing any power itself.
