What this adapter does

This ProOPTIC step-down ring lets a 72mm lens accept 55mm threaded filters. It screws directly into the front of the larger lens and presents a smaller thread for the filter. The metal construction is built for repeated mounting and removal.

Thread sizes that matter

The ring converts a 72mm male thread on the lens to a 55mm female thread for the filter. Both diameters must match your gear exactly; a mismatch on either side will prevent a secure fit. No other thread sizes are supported by this model.
