Chassis Switch with LED Indicator

This panel-mount push button replaces a damaged ATX power or reset switch on a computer case. The 16 mm metal housing fits a standard front-panel cut-out and includes a built-in LED that shows blue for power-on and red for reset. A 60 cm cable connects the switch to the motherboard header. It is intended for DIY builders repairing or customising a case front panel.

250 V, 5 A Contact Rating

The switch contacts are rated for AC or DC circuits up to 250 V and 5 A maximum, with the LED circuit rated at 3–6 V and 20 mA. This headroom covers typical motherboard power and reset signals, which draw only milliamps at low voltage. The rating would be exceeded by any mains-voltage load above 5 A or by driving the LED directly from a higher voltage without its series resistor.

IP65 Sealed Panel Mount

The aluminium-alloy body meets IP65, so dust and low-pressure water jets cannot enter through the panel cut-out. The seal is effective only when the switch is correctly mounted in a flat, rigid panel with the supplied hardware. It does not protect the cable entry or the motherboard connector, and it is not rated for immersion or high-pressure wash-down.
