Audio wall plate for single-speaker runs

This white Decora-style faceplate mounts in a standard electrical box to give a clean, wall-mounted connection point for one speaker. Gold-plated, colour-coded binding posts accept bare wire or banana plugs for a secure link between in-wall cable and your amplifier.

Passive connection — no power or heat

The plate carries only the speaker-level signal from your amplifier, so it generates no heat, draws no power and adds no audible noise to the system. Installation is a simple mechanical fit behind the wall plate with no active electronics involved.

Single-speaker capacity only

Each unit provides one pair of terminals for a single speaker channel; a stereo pair requires two plates. Buyers needing multi-room distribution, multiple speakers per zone or integrated volume controls will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the PHWP1 wall plate and which step is often missed?

Mount it to a standard electrical box using the included screws; the step people forget is turning off power to nearby circuits before opening the box.

What maintenance or replacement will the gold-plated binding posts need over time?

The gold-plated, color-coded (+/-) terminals resist corrosion; simply tighten the binding-post caps or re-seat banana plugs if connections loosen after years of use.

What limit appears first when running high power through this plate continuously?

The dual binding-post design handles typical home-stereo speaker currents; sustained high-wattage loads will heat the terminals before any internal wiring limit is reached.
