Ground loop isolator with 3.5mm female to RCA male connectors filters engine noise and breaks ground loops while driving a six-volt line-level signal
The Pyle PLDN37R connects a 3.5mm stereo source to an RCA-equipped head unit while breaking the ground path that causes alternator whine. A 6 V line driver boosts signals from 50 mV up to 6 V for cleaner gain structure. It is aimed at installers and drivers who want noise-free playback from phones or portable players in a vehicle.
The isolator filters engine noise that appears when a device is charging, removing the hum without an external power supply. Passive transformer coupling handles the ground separation, so the unit draws no current and adds no fan noise. The wide 50 mV-to-6 V input range accommodates both low-level phone outputs and higher-voltage line sources.
A 3.5mm female jack accepts standard headphone cables, while RCA male plugs insert directly into amplifier or head-unit inputs. No adapters, software or configuration are required — the device works immediately with smartphones, tablets, MP3 players and similar portable sources. Builders needing balanced XLR or digital optical connections will need a different interface.

Plug the 3.5mm jack from your phone or player into the female stereo input, then insert the two RCA male plugs into the left and right RCA inputs on the head unit; the isolator sits in-line and requires no power connection.
The unit is a passive transformer-based isolator with an integrated 6 volt line driver; it has no user-serviceable parts and is designed to last the life of the installation without scheduled maintenance.
The specified wide input signal range is 50mv to 6v, so sustained signals above 6 volts will exceed the driver's headroom and cause clipping.
