Active and passive speaker pair

The Pyle PDWR51BTWT is a wall-mountable speaker set comprising one active and one passive unit. It delivers a peak power output of 240 watt and 20 watt RMS per channel. The system is designed for indoor and outdoor use with a water-resistant, UV-protected cabinet.

Bluetooth streaming and wired inputs

Bluetooth compatibility allows wireless audio streaming from smartphones, tablets and computers. A 3.5 mm auxiliary input and gold-plated binding posts provide wired connection options for additional external devices.

5.25 inch drivers with 240 watt peak

Each speaker uses a 5.25 inch long-throw subwoofer and a 1 inch polymer dome tweeter for stereo sound and bass response. The 240 watt peak power handles high-volume playback for parties or background music. The passive design limits expansion to the included pair only.

Questions about this item

Will the 5.25" subwoofers or 1" tweeters need replacement after extended outdoor use?

The marine-grade polymer cabinet with UV protection shields the 5.25" subwoofers and 1" polymer dome tweeters from extreme temperatures and moisture, so no scheduled driver replacements are required.

What limits output first during a long DJ party — the 20W RMS per channel rating or thermal protection?

The 20W plus 20W RMS rating defines the continuous clean-output ceiling; sustained peaks up to 240 W are brief, so the RMS limit is reached before any thermal shutdown.

How much heat or noise does the active speaker generate when streaming Bluetooth all day?

The active unit runs on 20W RMS with no fan, so it stays near ambient temperature and adds no audible noise during continuous wireless playback.
