Q-Mark QRF2424 Recessed Frame

This 24 by 24 inch white mounting frame fits into a recessed opening and is UL Listed and CUL Listed. It is made for commercial HVAC installations that need a flush, code compliant fit.

Matches 54UD22 through 54UD25 units

The frame extends one eighth of an inch and accepts models 54UD22, 54UD23, 54UD24 and 54UD25. Upgrade when replacing a surface mount box with a recessed one or when the existing trim no longer meets inspection.

Simple screw in install

Fasten the frame into the prepared opening, then seat the compatible controller. The only common issue is an undersized cutout that prevents the one eighth inch lip from sitting flat.

Questions about this item

What outside dimensions does the 24x24 recessed frame need for the ceiling cut-out?

The frame has an outside height and width of 24 in, so the opening must accommodate that full 24 by 24 inch size.

How is the QRF2424 secured during recessed installation, and what step is often missed?

The frame extends 1/8 in beyond the opening; the common mistake is not allowing that lip to sit flush against the finished ceiling surface.

Which compatible diffusers may need replacement later, and how are they identified?

The frame is listed for use with models 54UD22, 54UD23, 54UD24 and 54UD25; any of those diffusers can be swapped out when worn.
