Qnap QXG25G2SFCX6 2-port SFP28 25 GbE network card

SKU CH-EYGN-KE3BP MPN QXG25G2SFCX6

Two-port SFP28 adapter delivering 25 Gbps networking with SR-IOV and RoCE for virtualization workloads

  • NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-6 Lx SmartNIC controller delivers intelligent network processing
  • PCIe Gen4 interface enables high-bandwidth connectivity for modern servers
  • Dual SFP28 ports provide up to 25 Gbps transfer speeds each
  • Port Trunking combines ports for up to 50 GbE aggregated throughput
  • SR-IOV support allocates bandwidth directly to VMs reducing CPU overhead

Two-port 25 GbE SFP28 adapter

The Qnap QXG25G2SFCX6 is a low-profile PCIe Gen4 x8 network card that uses an NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-6 Lx SmartNIC controller. It provides two SFP28 ports running at 10 or 25 Gbps for servers and workstations that need high-throughput Ethernet connectivity.

Suited for virtualised hosts and storage clusters

SR-IOV and RoCE support make the card a good fit for I/O-intensive virtual machines and latency-sensitive workloads such as VMware environments. It is not intended for desktop PCs without an available PCIe x8 slot, nor for networks that only run at 1 GbE speeds.

Dual ports reach 50 GbE with trunking

Each port delivers up to 25 Gbps, and port trunking can combine them for up to 50 GbE aggregate throughput when paired with a compatible switch. The card will not accelerate workloads beyond the 25 Gbps per-port limit or operate on interfaces other than SFP28.

Questions about this item

What free PCIe slot do I need to install the QXG-25G2SF-CX6?

The card requires a PCIe Gen4 x8 slot and is backwards compatible with Gen3 and Gen2 slots.

Can I connect the SFP28 ports to an existing 10 GbE switch?

Yes, the ports support 10 Gbps and 25 Gbps speeds for connection to compatible switches.

How can I verify the card is delivering 25 Gbps throughput after installation?

Use Port Trunking to combine both ports for up to 50 GbE and monitor transfer speeds during intensive data operations.
