Dual-port 10GbE PCIe 3.0 x4 card with Intel X710 controller, SR-IOV and iSCSI support for virtualization
The QNAP QXG-10G2T-X710 adds two NBASE-T RJ45 ports to a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot using an Intel Ethernet Controller X710. It targets administrators who need 10 Gbps, 5 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps, 1 Gbps or 100 Mbps links for iSCSI storage, SR-IOV virtual functions or port-trunked 20 Gbps throughput on compatible NAS or server platforms.
The card ships with a low-profile bracket and no active fan, so thermal output stays within the slot power envelope of a PCIe 3.0 x4 interface. Acoustic signature is therefore limited to chassis airflow, making the adapter suitable for dense rack rows or noise-sensitive workstations without additional acoustic planning.
Included brackets let the installer match 1U, 2U or tower form factors without sourcing extra hardware. Dual RJ45 connectors face the rear panel for straightforward patch-cable routing, while IEEE 802.3ad, 802.1Q, 1588 and 802.1as support ensures compatibility with managed switch features such as link aggregation, VLAN tagging and precision time synchronisation.

Insert the card into a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot; the package includes three brackets, so choose the low-profile or full-height bracket that matches your chassis before securing the screw.
No scheduled maintenance is required; keep the RJ45 connectors dust-free and update the Intel X710 driver when the OS vendor releases a new version.
The PCIe 3.0 x4 link caps combined port traffic at roughly 20 Gbps, so aggregated 10 GbE streams will hit that ceiling before the controller does.
