Four-piece acrylic mirror set

The set contains four 12-inch square panels that together form a 48 by 12 inch reflective surface. Each panel is 0.125 inches thick and made from shatterproof plexiglass rather than glass. The material is lightweight and designed for homes with children or pets where broken glass would be a hazard.

Sustained use on smooth walls

The acrylic panels resist impact and will not shatter if knocked over during daily activity. Clarity remains consistent across the assembled surface without the distortion sometimes seen in thinner plastic mirrors. Adhesion relies on the supplied double-sided foam tape, which holds securely on latex paint, tile, glass or finished wood but will fail on wallpaper, damp plaster or dusty textures.

Simple tape mounting

Installation requires only cleaning the target surface, applying the pre-cut foam strips to the panel backs and pressing firmly into place. No drills, brackets or levelling hardware are needed. The most common issue is attempting to mount on unsuitable surfaces such as textured wallpaper or crumbling plaster, which causes the tape to release within days.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 1/8" thick acrylic mirror reflect when mounted in a sunny room all day?

The 0.125" acrylic sheet reflects sunlight like any mirror surface; it does not generate heat itself, but the wall behind it will warm normally from solar gain.

What mounting surface must already be on the wall for the supplied foam tape to hold the 12"x12" panels securely?

The tape bonds to smooth, flat finishes such as latex paint, tile, glass or sealed wardrobe doors; it will not adhere to wallpaper, textured plaster or damp surfaces.

Can the 48" x 12" assembled mirror be butted against an existing glass mirror edge without a visible gap?

Each 12" square panel has straight-cut edges, so four panels aligned create a continuous 48" run; a hairline joint remains where panels meet, unlike a single-piece glass sheet.
