Product identity

The Quest NFP-5028 is a white double-gang keystone wall plate with two ports sized for CAT5E RJ45 inline couplers. It measures 4.875 inches by 4.75 inches by 0.25 inches and accepts standard keystone couplers. The oversized design covers larger cut-outs cleanly. It is intended for structured cabling terminations in residential or light commercial settings.

Who it suits

Installers who want to terminate pre-made patch cables on both sides of a wall without splicing or crimping will find this plate convenient. It suits retrofit jobs where an oversized footprint hides previous cut-outs. Builders needing shielded, fibre or higher-category keystones should look at plates specified for those jack types. Anyone requiring a single-gang or three-port layout must choose a different format.

Sustained behaviour

Under continuous network traffic the plate remains passive; it has no active components that generate heat or degrade over time. The plastic housing retains its shape and colour in normal indoor environments. Long-term reliability depends on the quality of the inserted couplers and the integrity of the mounted cables. No performance change occurs during extended data loads.

Questions about this item

Which keystone couplers fit the two ports on this NFP-5028 wall plate?

The plate accepts any standard keystone coupler, so you can snap in CAT5E RJ45 inline couplers or other keystone modules that match the keystone footprint.

Will the oversized 4.875 by 4.75 inch plate cover the cut-out left by my old double-gang faceplate?

Yes, the oversized dimensions of 4.875 by 4.75 inches are designed to hide the larger opening left by a standard double-gang box.

How can I confirm the couplers are seated correctly after installation?

Each coupler should click firmly into its port and sit flush with the white surface; a patch cable inserted front and back should latch without wobble.
