Mini Silicone Spoon/Spatula

The R&M 4712B is a mini silicone spoon and spatula measuring 7.75 inches long with an oval head. Its blue silicone blade is paired with a wood handle for scraping bowls and folding batter during baking tasks. This single utensil suits home bakers who need a compact tool for detail work.

Best for Small Bowls and Detail Work

The 1.25 inch wide head fits narrow jars and small mixing bowls where larger spatulas cannot reach. Bakers decorating cookies or working with stiff doughs will appreciate the precise control. Cooks who regularly scrape wide stockpots or need a dishwasher-safe utensil should look elsewhere.

Hand Wash Only Requirement

The supplier specifies hand washing and thorough drying before storage to maintain the wood handle and silicone blade. This care step rules out machine cleaning and makes the tool less convenient for high-volume kitchens. Buyers who cannot commit to manual washing should consider a fully dishwasher-safe alternative.

Questions about this item

How much counter or drawer space does the 7.75 in by 1.25 in mini spoon/spatula need?

The utensil measures 7.75 inches long, 1.25 inches wide and 0.5 inches thick, so it fits in a standard utensil drawer or small crock without crowding other tools.

What is the correct way to clean the silicone head and wood handle, and what mistake should I avoid?

Hand wash both parts with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly before storing; never place it in the dishwasher because the wood handle will crack and the silicone can degrade.

When will the blue silicone scraping edge need replacement, and what should I watch for?

Replace the spoon/spatula once the silicone edge shows cuts, deep staining or loss of flexibility, as a worn edge will no longer scrape bowls cleanly.
