This Ranco temperature control provides automatic on/off switching for refrigeration and HVAC equipment. The single-pole single-throw contact closes on temperature rise and resets automatically. It is suited for technicians and facility managers who need a simple, UL-listed thermostat for walk-in coolers, reach-in cases or similar cooling applications.

Capacity and headroom

The control operates across a 0 to 55 °F range with a full-load rating of 24 A and locked-rotor capacity of 144 A. Pilot-duty contacts handle 720 VA for control-circuit switching. It comfortably manages compressor and fan loads within these limits; applications requiring higher current, three-phase switching or a wider temperature span will exceed its ratings.

Replaces fixed-range thermostats

Seven included adjustment screws allow field calibration to match the original set-points of the unit being replaced.
