Ravensburger Minecraft family game

This cooperative board game invites one to four players aged seven and up to defend a village from an illager raid. Teams explore the world, mine blocks, construct buildings and fight mobs together. Faithful pets join the adventure to help when the situation becomes critical. A typical session lasts 15 to 20 minutes.

Simple components for quick tabletop setup

The game uses cardboard tiles, wooden blocks and illustrated cards that fit on a standard table. No batteries, screens or electronic parts are required, so play can start as soon as the box is opened. Pieces are sized for younger hands and store back in the box between rounds.

Check space and player count before ordering

You need a flat surface large enough for the expanding village layout and room for up to four participants. The rules are written for cooperative play, so solo gamers looking for a competitive experience should look elsewhere. Ensure the 15 to 20 minute play window fits your group's schedule.

Questions about this item

What age range and player count is this game designed for?

The box recommends ages 7 and up and supports 1 to 4 players working together.

How much table space does the game need for tiles and player boards?

A standard dining or coffee table gives enough room for the modular board, block supply and four player areas.

What is the first step when setting up the game, and what do players often skip?

Assemble the village centre tile and shuffle the building cards before dealing starting resources; skipping the shuffle makes the early game predictable.
