What the Firefly V2 Pro is

The Razer Firefly V2 Pro is a hard-surface mouse mat with full-surface LED backlighting. It connects through a detachable USB Type-C cable and includes a built-in USB 2.0 port for a mouse or dongle. The mat is aimed at gamers who want per-zone lighting effects in a single desktop accessory.

15 lighting zones and surface feel

Fifteen individually addressable zones let you create complex colour patterns across the entire mat. The micro-textured hard surface gives consistent glide for optical and laser sensors. An anti-slip rubber base keeps the mat stationary during fast swipes. The single USB 2.0 passthrough adds convenience but does not supply high-power charging.

Phantom Green colourway

This version ships in a distinct Phantom Green finish that sets the aesthetic tone before the RGB turns on. Buyers who need a larger desk footprint or a cloth texture should look elsewhere, as the mat’s dimensions and surface type are fixed. The integrated cable and port layout also means the mat occupies one USB-A header on the host system.

Questions about this item

Will the USB 2.0 port on the mat let me keep using my older wired mouse without plugging it into the PC?

The built-in USB 2.0 port acts as a pass-through so you can connect a legacy mouse directly to the mat while only one cable goes to the computer.

How can I verify the 15 lighting zones are all responding after I set up the mat?

Open Razer Synapse, run the Chroma lighting test, and watch each of the 15 zones cycle through colours to confirm every segment illuminates.

Does the package include the detachable USB Type-C cable or do I need to buy one separately?

The detachable USB Type-C cable is supplied in the box, so no extra cable purchase is required for power and data.
