Competition-Ready Ambidextrous Mouse

The Razer Viper 8K Hz is a lightweight gaming mouse built for competitive play. It weighs 71g and uses a true 8000Hz polling rate to communicate position data up to 8000 times per second. The Focus+ optical sensor and second-generation optical switches are rated for 70 million clicks with zero double-clicking.

Suited for Low-Latency Esports, Not Macro-Heavy Play

This mouse suits players who prioritise minimal input latency and a light, right-handed shape with adjustable grip. Buyers who need extensive macro arrays or a dedicated left-handed profile should look elsewhere, as the 16-button layout and on-board memory focus on core competitive functions rather than expansive customisation.

8000Hz HyperPolling Decides Compatibility

The single specification that determines fit is the 8000Hz HyperPolling technology, which requires a USB port capable of sustaining that rate for full benefit. If the system cannot support the high polling frequency, the primary latency advantage is reduced.

Questions about this item

What does the 8000 Hz polling rate actually cap in practice?

The 8000 Hz HyperPolling technology communicates position and clicks to the PC up to 8000 times per second for near-zero input latency.

What physical space does the 5.588 cm x 10.8966 cm x 19.8882 cm mouse need to fit?

The ambidextrous 71 g design measures 5.588 cm wide, 10.8966 cm deep and 19.8882 cm high, requiring a USB port for the wired or 2.4 GHz connection.

How is the mouse installed and what step do people get wrong?

Plug the USB receiver or cable into a USB port; the 16-button layout and on-board memory for 5 profiles are ready without extra drivers.
