What the mouse is and who it suits

The Razer Viper Ultralight is a wired gaming mouse built around a 5G optical sensor and second-generation optical switches. At 71g it targets competitive players who prioritise low weight and ambidextrous handling. Mercury White finish distinguishes this SKU visually.

How it fits into a setup

A single USB port satisfies the system requirement; no additional software or power brick is needed. The Speedflex cable reduces drag so the cord does not restrict swipe room. Ambidextrous button layout frees left-handed users from compromised ergonomics.

Behaviour under sustained load

Optical actuation removes metal-debounce delay, keeping click latency consistent during long sessions. The 5G sensor maintains tracking fidelity without acceleration artefacts when swiping repeatedly. Lightweight construction limits wrist fatigue over extended play.

Questions about this item

How does the 5G optical sensor perform during marathon sessions?

The 5G optical sensor delivers consistent tracking at up to 20K DPI without the acceleration drift that plagues lesser sensors during extended play.

What is the thermal and acoustic profile of the 2nd-generation optical switches under all-day use?

Optical actuation produces negligible heat and no audible click, so the mouse stays cool and quiet even after hours of continuous clicking.

Which operating systems and ports are required to run the mouse out of the box?

Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP with an available USB port are all that is needed; no extra drivers or software are mandatory for basic operation.
