Replacement handle for recliners

This D-ring handle and cable assembly replaces worn or broken release mechanisms on compatible sofas and sectionals. The 32 1/2 inch overall length suits many standard recliner frames. A steel cable with plastic casing provides durable actuation. The spring-assist design helps return the handle smoothly after each pull.

32 1/2 inch cable with 3 inch exposed wire

The extended neck measures 4 3/8 inches from the mounting bracket to the D-ring tip. Three inches of exposed wire at the end allow connection to the release mechanism. The plastic-cased steel cable resists fraying through repeated daily use. Length constraints mean this unit fits frames matching the specified dimensions only.

Metal finish installs with basic tools

The black metal handle mounts to the existing bracket on the recliner side. No specialised tools are required beyond those used for the original hardware. The spring-assist feature reduces the force needed to engage the recline function. Buyers needing a different cable length or tip style will require an alternative part.

Questions about this item

Will the 32 1/2" cable reach the release mechanism on my existing recliner frame?

The overall cable length is 32 1/2" with 3" of exposed wire at the tip, so measure your current cable from bracket to mechanism to confirm fit.

How can I verify the spring assist is functioning after I install the handle?

Pull the D ring; the spring should retract the cable smoothly and return the handle to its resting position without sticking.

Does the package include mounting screws or only the handle and cable assembly?

The box contains the D ring handle with steel cable, plastic casing and spring assist; mounting hardware is not included and must be sourced separately.
