Compact stereo speakers for desk setups

The Redragon GS520 Anvil is a 2.0 channel multimedia speaker system designed for laptops, personal computers, televisions and smartphones. It delivers a total output of 3 watts through two satellite units, each driven by a dynamic driver with a frequency response up to 20 KHz. The set is powered by a 5 volt DC USB connection and includes a 3.5 mm audio cable for broad device compatibility.

USB power with 3.5 mm audio input

The single specification that determines fit is the combined USB power and 3.5 mm analogue audio connection. Both cables must reach the host device; the inter-speaker cable spans up to 31 inches (80 cm). If your display or laptop offers only a single USB-C port without an analogue output, this speaker set will not work without an adapter.

Simple plug-and-play installation

Setup requires inserting the USB plug for power and the 3.5 mm jack for sound, then using the touch-sensitive volume buttons on the primary speaker. The touch control also cycles through six RGB lighting modes or turns the light bar off. Common issues include the short inter-speaker cable limiting placement on wide desks and the USB cable length restricting distance from the power source.

Questions about this item

How loud will the 3 W output actually be on a desktop?

The 3 W rating is total RMS power for the pair, which is typical for near-field listening at a desk; it will fill a small room but is not intended for party-level volume.

What does the USB connection and 3.5 mm cable actually limit?

USB provides 5 V power only; audio travels over the 3.5 mm plug, so sound quality is bounded by the source device's headphone output and the 20 KHz frequency response.

Will the 3.5 in depth x 4 in width x 7 in height speakers fit on a crowded desk?

Each satellite measures 3.5 in deep, 4 in wide and 7 in high with a 31 in cable between them, so they suit typical monitor stands or shelf space.
