Redragon K556 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

The Redragon K556 is a full-size mechanical gaming keyboard with 104 standard keys and linear Red switches. An aluminium frame provides a rigid base for the keycaps and the USB 2.0 connection ensures broad system compatibility. Eighteen RGB backlit modes are selectable through dedicated key combinations.

Gamers and typists who want linear feel

The linear Red switches deliver a quiet, consistent keystroke suited to both gaming and office work. Eight spare switches are included so users can test alternative tactile or clicky feel without buying a separate switch tester. Buyers who need a dedicated palm rest or wireless connectivity should look at other models.

Linear Red switches with 18 lighting modes

The Red switch type defines the typing experience with a smooth, linear action and no audible click. Eighteen configurable backlit modes cover RGB themes and single-colour options, all adjustable via the FN key row. This combination of switch behaviour and lighting variety is the deciding factor for most buyers.

The keyboard uses linear Red switches that are quiet by design, and the solid aluminium base adds no fan noise or measurable heat during extended sessions.

What must I already own to connect the K556 RD?

A free USB 2.0 port on a Windows or Mac system is all that is required; no extra drivers or power adapters are needed.

Will the 104-key layout and USB 2.0 interface work with my older Windows 7 or XP machine?
