What you get

The Redragon K580 VATA is a full-size mechanical gaming keyboard with 104 keys and Brown mechanical switches. It connects through a USB-C cable and features full dynamic RGB backlighting with 18 lighting modes plus 5 side-edge modes. The board weighs 0.97 kg and measures 17.3 x 6 x 1.8 inches.

The switch feel

Brown switches provide a tactile bump without an audible click, using 60g actuation force and 2.3 mm travel. They are rated for 50 million keystrokes and are waterproof and dust resistant. Double-shot injection moulded keycaps prevent legends from fading. This suits typists and gamers who want feedback without loud noise.

Installation and pitfalls

Plug the USB-C cable into a port and the keyboard works immediately; no driver is required for basic use. Five dedicated macro keys (G1–G5) record macros on the fly without software. A volume and backlight wheel gives direct control. The package includes a keycap puller and 8 spare switches for DIY replacement. Users who need wireless connectivity or a compact layout should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How does the 50 million keystroke rating hold up in daily use?

The switches are tested to 50 million presses, so the board should stay responsive through years of heavy typing and gaming sessions.

What does the USB-C interface mean for cable choice and port compatibility?

The keyboard uses a USB-C connection, so you need a USB-C cable or adapter and a matching port on the PC; data speed is limited to standard USB keyboard rates.

Will the 17.3 inch width fit on a compact desk with a monitor arm?

At 17.3 inches wide and 6 inches deep, the full-size layout needs a decent footprint; measure your clear desk space before ordering.
