High-precision optical sensor

The Redragon M718-AIR is a wired USB gaming mouse built for right-handed players who need adjustable sensitivity. Its optical sensor reaches 12800 DPI across five presets from 400 to 3200. A 1000 Hz polling rate and 120 IPS tracking speed keep cursor movement responsive in fast-paced titles.

DPI range and polling headroom

The five factory presets cover 400, 800, 1600, 2400 and 3200 DPI, with software extension up to 12800 DPI for extra headroom. The 1000 Hz polling rate and 25 G acceleration limit deliver consistent tracking during rapid swipes, while the 1.8 m cable provides reliable wired latency without battery concerns.

Ergonomic build and software ecosystem

Weighing 98 g, the mouse uses anti-slip sides and a contoured shape to suit palm, claw or fingertip grips during long sessions. Seven programmable buttons and a mechanical scroll wheel are configured through Windows driver software that also controls 16.8 million-colour RGB lighting across eight effects. No macOS or Linux support is included.

Questions about this item

Will the 98g weight and 1.8m USB cord feel familiar if I keep my current mousepad and desk setup?

At 98g the mouse is light enough for fast swipes, and the 1.8m cable reaches most tower positions without pulling.

How can I confirm the 12800 DPI sensor and 1000Hz polling rate are active after installing the driver software?

Open the Redragon driver panel, set a DPI preset to 12800 and polling to 1000Hz, then verify the on-screen readout matches.

Does the box include extra feet or weights, or do I need to buy them separately?

The package contains only the M718-AIR mouse and the 1.8m USB cable; replacement feet or weight kits are sold separately.
